Our Strategy and Operations team takes ownership for driving highly cross-functional strategic programs with a focus on planning, building, maintaining and operating our global platform. We partner with teams that design, develop, and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software, and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai's products. Our team ensures consistent availability and performance for our customers.

Be a part of our highly-visible program management team

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead and coordinate an array of exciting cross-functional initiatives. You will be involved in critical programs that directly contribute to achieving our business goals and objectives. You will be articulating technical subject matter to ensure timely deliverables.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:

• Managing cross-functional projects and providing subject matter expertise in the planning and execution of these projects
• Coordinating initiatives with key stakeholders to create roadmaps, program scope, priorities, and requirements
• Reporting on program status, areas of risk/opportunity, process dependencies, and success metrics to internal stakeholders
• Adopting best-practice guidelines to influence and implement continuous improvements to the processes

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree or its equivalent
• Have end to end experience running technical program management projects and initiatives
• Be able to prioritize workload and communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders of varying technical ability
• Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills needed to work across a wide range of constituencies and geographies
